Let us first define a pyramid scheme.
Pyramid schemes are business models that lure members to join the scheme. They promise money or services in exchange for enrolling others. This is not a way of selling products or investing.
Customers sometimes mistake multi-level marketing companies with pyramid schemes.
MLM companies that are legitimate can sell legitimate products.
Pyramid schemes claim to be able sell products, but often use these products to conceal their pyramid structure.
This is the main reason for a pyramid scheme scam.

This is why I prefer it over an MLM. There are other reasons, too.
- Affiliate marketing allows you to have complete control over the products or services you promote. Next, you will need to associate with the merchant that has the best products for your audience.
- Affiliate marketing does not involve recruiting. You might consider hiring someone to create content for your website, and paying them with your income.
- This model is extremely affordable which is one its greatest advantages.
